The Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 2009 wedges feature a CNC machine cut face and grooves that increases friction and have 30% more groove volume than conventional wedges, creating more consistent, higher spin even from grassy lies or wet conditions. The profile of each wedge is precisely milled to blend the size, shape, topline thickness and offset from loft to loft.

Still the best...

I love the Cleveland CG15 and the Taylormade XFT wedges, but this wedge is a piece of art. It has the right amount of bite from every distance. The consistency though is what makes it such a gem. Example: I know the 50 degree goes 108 for me on a perfect hit from the fairway. I had this distance into a green last summer and told my buddy where it was going to land with in 2 feet. I realize a lot of that is my mind, and skill, but I just do not have that kind of confidence in other wedges I have hit.
The only con is that forged wedges are a consumable item. You will get scratches and dings. My suggestion: Unlike your woods, these give character to your wedges. At least that is how I console myself. :)

Bob Vokey has never failed to produce a wedge to surpass the needs of each golfer. The expertise of Bob Vokey can only be produced for the most knowledgeable brand in the golf market. Titleist's research and development team is one of the most highly regarded r&d teams in the golf industry. They know which companies produce the best clubs to suit their clienteles demands and to live up to the Titleist name. Titleist sells only what they believe to be the best products on the market, that is why they are partnered with Bob Vokey and Scotty Cameron. Titleist will only market the best products in the world. Bob Vokey wedges are spin milled. Their grooves are deeper than the usual wedges. Plus, they have microscopic grooves for added bite, and backspin on the ball to help is spin back to give you the effect that your on tour. The leading edges on these are cut to a sharper edge so that they can cut into any surface, wether it be rough, fairway, sand or fringe. This is the only brand that is able to boast this advantage, neither Cleveland nor Taylormades wedges can compare. But a strong leading edge is useless unless you have bounce. Vokey wedges come in array of bounces going from the special order 4* bound all the way up to a 14* bounce depending on which type of course you are playing. Another great advantage that the Vokey wedges have is the stock grip of golf pride's tour velvet grips specially made just for Titleist. These grips have small sipes that release water from them to help relieve the grips from becoming too moist to play with in heavy rainfall. These grips also have a great feel to them that help a golfer of any handicap. These clubs are second to none, and will always be. There is absolutely no comparison to these wedges.

Titleist Vokey Wedge

This wedge overall is great. Chipping by the green is the strongest uses of this wedge especially out of deep rough. From the fairway if you hit the sweet spot the ball is going to hit the green in stop rather quikly. I recommend you take a look at it.

I've purchased 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges and they were all in good condition for a great price.
