The Titleist AP1 is a multi-material, dual cavity iron made up of a precision cast 431 stainless steel body, tungsten-nickel box, elastomer cushion and aluminum cavity plate for an amazing feel and exceptional performance. The high-density tungsten nickel box is laser welded to the back and sole to provide a low and deep center of gravity. The dual cavity of the club pushes weight to the perimeter for a high MOI, providing the player with excellent forgiveness, even on off-center hits.

Pretty good...

15 handicap... Just got these irons and played a couple of rounds over the weekend and enjoyed these irons for the most part. Pros- Good launch not too high not too low for me. Feels pretty good on good shots and the "good" condition clubs weren't bad at all actually better than the "very good" condition of the hybrid I ordered... Didn't particularly hit the 4 iron real well but that's more mechanics than the clubs probably and I'm too stubborn to change to a 4 hybrid... Cons- Little on the heavy side, thick top line doesn't appeal to my eye. All in all pretty decent club for the price.

Great Clubs & Reasonably Priced

16 handicap:I purchased a set of Titleist AP1 irons from global golf last season and what can I say...WOW! I've been playing Pings for the last 15 years and I'm glad I switched.
Pros: Long, straight, forgiving & reseanably priced. As mentioned above they are a little heavy, but that is something that I like
Cons: Only comes 4-GW & I can't find a 3 iron to match the set. Even though I carry a 3 hybrid, I still like to have the 3 iron option.
I've been thinking of getting the AP1 710s, but I'm hitting these so well I'll hold off for another year

these irons are good all around they produce a pretty high ball flight but very easy to hit and very straight and long. These clubs are great for game improvement but lack feel.

My Titleist AP 1's

About 2 years ago I bought my AP 1 set at Global Golf after a 3week trail period in the Netherlands. Since that time my hcp dropped from 22 to 10! I like the nice classic looks and the solid but controlled feel.

I'm Happy
By Curt on 10/28/2011

Took my just-received AP1s to the Smoky Mts for my first attempt at hitting them. "Very good" condition was just that, very good shape and really nice appearance. Played as well as I can play and was happy not to fall off the mountain. This experience in total, including credit for my trade-ins was very satisfying. Thanks, I'll be back.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
