The Ben Hogan Apex Plus is forged with a shallow cavity back which allows for a soft, responsive feel and improved consistency as well as forgiveness for off-center hits. It also has weight distributed lower in the head for excellent trajectory.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

I shot my best rounds ever with executive sets of these in CO and MD back in 2007, these irons were in great shape. I am hitting these like I hit those back then! I am hitting heroic shots (for me) with these!

Best hitting irons I have ever owned played them for 6 years. Not for beginners but a mid handicap golfer can accelerate their game with these irons.

These irons were made from 1999 - 2001. By far my favorite set of irons i have ever had for several reasons.
1.workable not hard to shape shots
2.forged muscle back gives it some added forgivness
3.solid grooves (pre 2010 usga groove rulling)
4.great feel each shot is responsive and a true struck shot feels amazing
5.looks great
6.if you need to hit it long you can
7.small head gets through rough easier
1.have a developed swing, great for someone who can break a hundred.

VG condition was Very Good

Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

The irons were in great condition except some paint fill was missing from some numbers and letters. The irons were supposed to be standard length but I think they are half an inch short. I compared them to my the Apex Edge set, standard length. I hope I can improve my striking with this set.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
