I had a chance to hit this set irons from a member at my golf club that's going pro soon, and they are soft and smooth. The KBS shafts make a great combo with a beautiful draw in the air with consistent flight. I personally hit the sweet spot everytime without trying which demonstrates the great balance in these clubs without being heavy headed. I personally own Wilson irons (Ci9) and I will be making the switch to these irons, because the "W" in Wilson stands for "Wow"!
Ok....so I thought it was time to go get an updated set of Mizuno's,...to replace my MP 60 irons of 6 or 7 years. I went to the Mizuno website to find a club **** recommended by them that was reasonably close to my home. I went to a club **** who is one the Mizuno list....and has been for probably well over 10 years. The "old Pro" watched me hit about 20 balls then went into his shop and brought a Mizuno iron and the Wilson Staff iron. He asked me to hit both to see what felt best and how the ball flight compared. I could not believe what I felt and saw...the Staff irons were just as soft as the Mizunos, the ball flight was much higher and straighter than the Mizuno's as well. I kept switching back and forth between the two irons. Finally I went with my gut and could not ignore the feedback and data I was getting with every swing. I went to this club **** thinking he would put me into my third consecutive set of Mizuno's...and walked out purchasing the Staff FG Tour V2 irons. I got them in about 2 weeks and have now played them every day since Friday....I can't believe the difference in these irons and my prior MP 60's. The ball flight is much higher, I am hitting irons between 5 and 20 yards longer. When I get my alignment set,...they are nearly dead on straight to the target...I am amazed,...but it is a continuation of what I saw when I was hitting them and comparing to the MP 64's. Check with me in about 3 moths and I'll tell you what I think then...All the best...MJ.
