The ZX5 Irons bring pioneering ball speed technology and a premium forged feel to give you a forgiving iron that looks as good as it plays. Featuring a Cavity-Back Design for a classic look, with a thin topline and longer blade for enhanced forgiveness. The Tour V.T. Sole glides smoothly through the turf, even if you strike slightly behind the ball. A milled pattern on the back of each iron face maximizes ball speed and distance.

  • Multi-piece construction – the long and mid irons feature tungsten in the toe for more MOI, increasing stability and forgiveness. A forged face enhances speed and distance.
  • Progressive Grooves – Grooves in the 8i through PW are sharper, narrower and deeper for more spin and stopping power on approach shots onto the green.
  • Tour V.T. Sole – ZX5 features the resurgence of the popular sole notches.

Left handed with stock NP Tour 105 stiff.

I purchased these clubs after testing it out on a launch monitor. I played two rounds with these irons and noticed a yard pickup about a full club farther. The launch monitor data showed an increase in ball speed as well. The feel is solid and easier to hit with compared with my Mizuno JPX forged 850.

The performance of these irons can vary with different shafts. When on a launch monitor, I would consider the carry distance close to total for PW-6 iron. The ZX5 irons launch high and land soft. Great look at address and exceptional feel. Not the most forgiving club, but more forgiving than a blade.

Srixon ZX5 Iron Set

srixon zx5 iron hero

Powerful Speed with Incredible Feel

The ZX5 Iron Set from Srixon combine their new MainFrame Face Technology, which is used to increase ball speed and distance, with a classic forged frame to produce the most workable yet forgiving irons Srixon has ever created.

srixon zx5 iron construction

Multi-Piece Construction Combines for Guaranteed Results

The ZX5 Irons utilize high density tungsten in the base of the long and mid irons, which is crucial in lowering the Center of Gravity and producing high launching shots. The forged 1020 Carbon Steel that makes up the body of the ZX5 Irons helps to absord vibrations at impact to produce soft feel and incredible sound.

srixon zx5 iron mainframe design

Ball Speed Increase from MainFrame Face Design

Crafted with a combination of Human and Artificial Intelligence, the ZX5 Irons utilizes an all-new MainFrame Face Design. This technology gives each head a variable thickness between the grooves, cavities, and other channels found in the head. This pattern is used to maximize COR, leading to higher ball speeds and increased distance.

srixon zx5 iron sole design

Tour V.T. Sole Provides Smooth Turf Interaction

On the sole of the ZX5 Irons is Srixon's new Tour V.T. Sole. This new sole technology improves turf interaction for enhanced feel in every swing. The soles of the ZX5 Irons also feature Srixon's classic sole notches, which help to provide extra workability to every swing without sacrificing any forgiveness.

srixon zx5 iron groove structure

Progressive Grooves Give You Spin Where You Need It

The groove structure of the ZX5 Irons is progressive, meaning your longer-mid irons (3i - 7i) have a wider groove structure than shorter irons (8i - PW). This is to give you consistent results throughout the bag and provide desired spin where you need it.
