This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

    Technology / Specs

Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro irons take all the incredible features of the JPX 919 Hot Metal irons and put them in a tighter package better players gravitate towards. Namely, these irons have a shorter blade length, thinner topline, and less offset than their counterparts. Learn about the specifics of these features here.

    Chromoly 4140M

Mizuno uses a material called Chromoly 4140M to construct the JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro. This material is very strong yet malleable. The strength allows engineers to use less of the metal in the face to create faster ball speeds. The malleability of the metal lends itself to bending the hosel, changing loft and lie angles easier.

    Stability Frame

Mizuno designers put a Stability frame near the heel portion of the head. This opening gives the head more stability and ideal launch characteristics for each club. Because the ideal ball flight is different, each club has a uniquely shaped Stability Frame, ensuring the right launch conditions for every iron.

    Beveled Trailing Edge

As you look at the sole of the JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro irons, you’ll notice the trailing edge is shaved back. The beveled trailing edge helps the club exit the turf more efficiently. Better turf interaction produces clean, crisp, consistent contact more often.

    CORTECH Design

The face of JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro irons has a bigger sweet spot thanks to its CORTECH design. This design varies the thickness of the face, producing more ball speed in areas of typical mishits making the clubs more forgiving.

    Harmonic Impact Technology

In order to make the JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro irons sound and feel like a Mizuno iron, engineers use a technique called Harmonic Impact technology. The geometry of the head is shaped after extensive testing measuring the audio at impact. Tweaks in the design are made until the club has the ideal sound, ensuring nothing feels like a Mizuno.
