Q
Is this a full set of irons or just 3 clubs as stated in club description box?
asked by Eddie G. on 7/7/2021
A
The way the listings work, all irons in between the two separated by a dash are included. In other words, 6-PW,AW would include the 6,7,8,9,PW, and AW.

Q
do these come with cobra connect.
asked by Heather N. on 9/7/2021
A
Unfortunately, due to the size of our inventory, we are unable to verify if a used set has the Connect grips on it.

Cobra King F9 Speedback Irons Overview

Back of iron head

Speedback Design

The speedback design adds mass to the lower and wider parts of the club, lowering CG and allowing players to maximize ball speed while still having a conventional size sole width.

inside and back of iron head removed

Multi-Materail Medallion

The three materials in the speedback iron medallions are aluminum, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and acrylic foam. All three materials are lightweight and act as dampeners to the vibrations the club gives off at the striking point, making these clubs have a responsive feel to them that players want.

Progressive groove shaping

Spin Technology

In the longer irons (4-7), v-shaped grooves were milled into the face to create less spin for more distance and flight time. In the shorter irons (8-PW), u-shaped grooves were milled into the face for optimized spin for improved control and accuracy. In the wedges (GW-SW), tightly spaced u-shape grooves were milled for extra spin and precision around the green.

Progressive hosel length and shape

Hosel Length

The CG is lowered in the long irons (4-6) for extra launch and distance with those clubs. In the 7-9 irons, a slightly longer hosel promotes a bit less launch and lowers the CG some. The wedges have the longest hosel's, raising the CG up the most giving those clubs more accuracy than the other irons.

The Cobra KING F9 Speedback irons have several new innovative features that make these irons built for speed and performance. Keep reading to find out more.

Speedback™ Technology and High MOI Design

Cobra uses its new Speedback™ technology in the KING F9 Speedback irons. This technology adds mass to the sole of the club, pushing the CG low for easy launch and added forgiveness. The mass doesn’t give the irons a bulky look and actually helps with turf interaction.

To further boost MOI, Cobra designers placed a total of 33 grams of tungsten in the heel and toe of the KING F9 irons. The weight stabilizes the head at impact on mishits so those shots aren’t penalized as much.

Co-Molded Medallion

On the 4-7 irons, Cobra uses a Co-molded medallion to dampen vibrations and give the clubs a soft feel. The 3-piece medallion is made with aluminum, TPU and acrylic foam.

Forged E9 PWRSHELL™ Face Technology

The face of the KING F9 Speedback irons has forged E9™ technology, which varies the thickness across the face, increasing ball speed on off-center hits and expanding the sweet spot.

The face also utilizes the company’s PWRSHELL™ tehcnology, where the face wraps around to the sole of the club, creating a channel that flexes in and out at impact. This reaction creates higher ball speed and launch angles.

Progressive Spin Tech and Hosel Length

Cobra uses progressive groove patterns, which are CNC milled for consistent performance, called Progressive Spin Tech. The grooves on the 4-7 irons have a V-shape that reduce spin and increase carry distance. On the 8-PW, the grooves have a U-shape that increase control and accuracy. The GW and SW have shallow grooves that are close together to maximize spin around the green.

The hosels also get progressively longer as the clubs shorten. This design ideally controls the CG location and produce the best launch conditions for each club in the set.

Cobra Connect

Each club in the Cobra KING F9 family has Cobra Connect powered by Arccos sensors in the grip. The sensor tracks distance, accuracy, and more automatically. The data collected gets sent to the Arccos Caddie app, showing you areas that you’re doing well and what you can work on to improve your game.
