Technology / Specs

TaylorMade M5 Titanium Fairway Wood

TaylorMade puts a twist on the new M5 Titanium fairway wood. Discover what that is and the rest of the features here.

Twist Face™

Twist Face™, TaylorMade’s revolutionary technology from their drivers, now comes to the fairway wood line. This technology minimizes the effects of off-center hits, helping golfers hit straighter shots. The face is twisted open with slightly more loft on the high-toe area, preventing the low hooking shot. The low-heel area is twisted closed with less loft, correcting the high, slicing shot.

Multi-Material Head Construction

The head of the TaylorMade M5 Titanium fairway wood is constructed with 3 different materials. The crown is made with a 6-layer carbon fiber piece. This light material pushed the CG lower in the head for easy launching shots. The face and body are made of a strong, stable titanium. Using titanium to make the face also helps increase ball speed and distance. Finally, a large stainless steel moveable sole weight promotes either a draw, fade, or neutral ball flight.

Next-Gen Adjustability

Users can adjust the M5 Titanium fairway wood a couple of ways. The first is the large moveable steel weight on the sole. The 65-gram weight (which is >30% of the total head weight!) adjusts the ball flight for a draw, neutral, or fade- bias shot. The weight also slits flush on the sole to ensure ideal turf interaction regardless of the weight’s position.

The loft sleeve is the second way to adjust the M5 Titanium fairway wood. There are 12 different settings that raise and lower the loft up to 2 degrees in 0.5-0.75 degree increments.

The stock options for the TaylorMade M5 Titanium fairway wood are below. You'll also see charts that detail the adjustment settings for your reference.

These are your Utry selections. Only Utry eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our Utry golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club or $100 an iron set. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. Utry lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club or 1 iron set for $100.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

Utry gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
