The TaylorMade M6 D-Type drivers are speed injected to maximize ball speed and distance in the driver. Also features a revolutionary twist face curve that provides more loft in the high toe and less loft in the low-heel to produce more of a consistent spin.

  • Aerodynamic shaping design to provide increased clubhead speed for more distance
  • Inertia Generator stores 46g of weight low and back for maximum forgiveness
  • Speed Injection process increases ball speed and distance
  • Twist Face design helps correct typical mishits for straighter shots
  • Internal weight near the heel produces a draw-bias

Went to Florida last week golfed six days. I brought it hoping to help my slice. It was great and helped a lot, which gave me more distance. P.S. I am 72

Technology / Specs

TaylorMade M6 D-Type Driver

The TaylorMade M6 D-Type driver has the same technology as the M6 driver and adds a draw bias to the design. Learn more about these drivers here.

Injected for Speed™

To maximize the ball speed on every M6 D-Type driver, TaylorMade inspects each club and injects tuning resin into the bring the COR as close to the USGA limit as possible. Two screws on the face, one low-toe and one low-heel, are the entry point for the resin. COR is the measure of ball speed at different parts of the face. Maximizing the COR creates higher ball speed and distance.

Twist Face™

Twist Face™ technology returns to the M6 driver, delivering straighter shots. The face of the driver is curved to reduce the effect of off-center hits. The high-toe area of the face is curved slightly open with more left. This corrects for a low, hooking shot. Conversely, the low-heel area is curved closed with less loft, correcting a high, slicing shot.

Aerodynamic Carbon Sole with “Inertia Generator”

The sole of the M6 driver has an aerodynamic shape, helping the club pass through the air easier and swing faster.

An Inertia Generator on the sole makes up the majority of the aerodynamic shape and stores 46 grams of weight low and back. Placing that amount of weight on the sole lowers the CG and increases launch angle and MOI.

The sole is also made with 54% more carbon fiber than the M4 driver. Using more carbon fiber let designers place more weight in the Inertia Generator.

Draw-Biased Design

An internal weight in the M6 D-Type driver is located towards the heel of the club. This gives the club a draw-bias. To also help with the draw-bias, designers made the design on the crown to look open at address, triggering the brain to close it more at impact.

Hammerhead 2.0

The Hammerhead 2.0 slot is more flexible than the previous version, increasing the size of the sweet spot.

These are your Utry selections. Only Utry eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our Utry golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club or $100 an iron set. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. Utry lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club or 1 iron set for $100.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

Utry gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
