The Nike Vapor Fly Pro driver features a 30% reduction in crown weight compared to the 2015 Vapor which helps lower the CG and create more MOI for a higher and longer launch with less spin. The tour preferred pear shape head design now has a new HyperFlight face for extreme ball speeds across the whole face. The Vapor Fly Pro features three key technologies: FlyBeam reinforced Covert Cavity Back design, a re-engineered Compression Channel and FlexLoft 2. The FlyBeam construction stiffens the Covert Cavity in the back of the club, while the Compression Channel, with variable compliance, accentuates the spring-like effect across the face. FlexLoft 2 allows the functionality of five lofts and three face angles within 15 different settings.

What is the difference between these shafts on this club? Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana S+ Blue Board 60 & Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana S+ LIMITED 60
asked by Ormond W. on 1/31/2017
The Limited has all of the traits of the Blue Board and adds Mitsubishi Rayon’s own DIALEAD™ Pitch Fiber into the butt-section of this new design to deliver enhanced stability and increase energy transfer in the time tested and tour proven “smooth” Blue Board profile. This resuts in a Higher Balance Point, Variable Torque design that will work for a variety of players.

Negligible Driver

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Left Hand

This driver has a solid feeling but ball striking is paramount. To get the most out of this driver you need to hit it in the middle of the face. Toe or heel hits are penalizing.

Incredible distance...when hit properly

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I've never hit a driver further than I hit this one but, truth be told, at the same time 've never hit one worse in quite some time. This is a "Pro" driver for a reason. It's not very forgiving for those, like me, who aren't comfortable with the big stick and tend to be inconsistent with the driver. With my "forgiving" driver, I hit 2/3 of the fairways and routinely deliver +270. While I've hit my longest drives ever with this club, +300 (with roll out), I'm only hitting 1/3 of the fairways and it's because I don't tend to hit the "sweet spot" as often as I should with the driver. I understand that's a swing issue, the Indian and not the arrow. However, it proves the reluctance of this driver to assist with those not grooved into their swing. Last note, don't let the colors fool you, it looks great and isn't distracting. I hope this review helps, it's based on my +10 rounds with the club. My stats: 45, 6'2, 230, 102 mph swing, 12 HCP.

Performance is just as good as the expensive 2016 Taylormade, PING, and other big name drivers, and at a fraction of the price.

Love the color. Easy to hit. Love that you can move the head from left to center to right. I have it set on left to help with my slice and it worked like a charm.

Technology / Specs

The NIKE Vapor Fly Pro Driver

The NIKE Vapor Fly Pro Driver is Rory McIlroy’s new gamer and has some of the same design features as the Vapor Fly. Higher MOI, more forgiveness, and less spin is achieved by a 30% reduction in its Flightweight Crown. An updated Compression Channel creates a springboard effect to amplify performance on mis-hits. Its FlyBeam Reinforced Cavity Back is impact efficient and forgiving due to its stiffened chassis and weight redistribution in the heel and toe. FlexLoft 2.0 technology gives the club 15 different settings for optimal flight, more distance, and enhanced workability.

The driver is a compact package with lower natural flight and less spin than other drivers of its kind. The pear-shaped head also has a neutral shot bias.
