The Mizuno JPX-EZ Forged iron set are designed with Grain Flow forged 1025 Boron to take this iron to the next level with increased distance and forgiveness. The thinner face allows for added distance while allowing weight savings to be distributed to the four corners to maximize forgiveness with the Power Frame design. This iron also features Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.), a reinforced cavity frame which is feel and sound tuned for incredible feedback and a deep center of gravity for effortless launch and flight. The JPX-EZ Forged iron set has a Black Ni finish to reduce glare and give them a sleek bold look.

I am a 22.3 hp. I own a set of Mizuno MX 1000. I would like to purchase between JPX EZ Forged and JPX 850 Forged.Which would you suggest? Thanks
asked by Giovanni C. on 7/24/2016
Based on your handicap I would recommend the JPX EZ forged as it will be more forgiving and provide a higher launch compared to the JPX 850 forged.

Nice feel

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

It's nice to find a set of clubs aimed at the slightly above mid-handicap player that are forged and offer the feel that is really required to drive your handicap down. Most game-improvement irons have great big heads and offer little feedback to the player as to where the ball contacted the head. With their forgiveness, you often can't tell the difference between a quality strike and a poor strike.

With the JPX EZ Forged irons you get the forgiveness on off-center hits, but you also get the feeling feedback to tell you when you are getting the benefit of the technology and when you are hitting the center. About the only complaint I could find is that I lost a little distance from my old set, but that is to be expected when the lofts on my old clubs were significantly stronger (3 degrees stronger on each iron). What I wanted was a set of irons that gave me some feedback so that I can improve my game AND a traditional ball flight for irons. My old set gave me distance, but at the cost of launch height. I had trouble getting the ball to stop, even on an 8 or 9 iron shot at times. That Is now a thing of the past. I can now go for the pin with more confidence that I can get the ball to stop without running through the green.

GlobalGolf was great as well. I got the clubs a day earlier than I was promised and they came in great condition. Mine were pre-owned demo clubs and as such had some ball marking from being hit in a demo capacity, but no significant wearing or damage. Overall a great buy, saved over $400 versus buying on sale at a retail location.

I upgraded to the JPX -EZ Forged from the JPX-825 and the upgrade has been nice. I have gain about 10 yards you have more feel on the off center hits. I would give these clubs a 5 star rating. Good job Mizuno...

I just changed from Taylormade Speedblades to these irons and I can only say OMG... So soft, long and forgiving! Don't think it twice, they are awesome clubs that anyone with a decent swing can hit (I am handicap 28 so if I can then most golfers can)

The Mizuno JPX-EZ Forged Irons

The Mizuno JPX-EZ Forged iron is a muscle packed version of the JPX-EZ iron. It incorporates the used of 1025 Boron to increase the strength, forgiveness, and distance. The Boron is stronger than the typical forged steel that Mizuno uses for their clubheads. By increasing the strength of the material, it allows for weight to be spread to the 4 corners of the golf club, which Mizuno calls their Next Generation Power Frame design. The Power Frame design increases the forgiveness especially on off-center shots.

The Mizuno JPX-EZ forged irons are available in four through pitching wedge and GW. There are plenty of custom shafts available, but the JPX-EZ forged irons will have the True Temper XP95 as the stock shaft.
