Description

The XR Irons are built for speed! They have taken the Cup 360 that’s redefined ball speed on the fairway woods and brought it to these irons. The Face Cup not only acts like a spring on shots hit low on the face, it increases ball speeds everywhere on the face too. The distance is incredible, and that’s just the start. When you factor in the lower CG, forgiveness, the face flex of the Internal Standing Wave, and precise 2-piece, deal heat construction, you can see why Callaway wants to get these irons in your hands right away.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

Q
What does this mean, Black none Standard Lie only. It is confusIng to me. Thx. Vic
asked by George D. on 2/20/2016
A
I apologize for the confusion. This is simply a default in our system when we enter the lie angle on the listing as being standard. For some reason, the information that states, black none, shows up there as well.

Q
What is difference between the xr and xr pro irons?
asked by Mike S. on 3/29/2016
A
XR irons will be more tailored to the average golfer with mid to high handicaps. The club head is larger and the sole is wider, so it provides a little more forgiveness for the golfer that needs the extra help than the XR Pro. It also will be designed to launch the ball a little higher. The XR Pro head size is smaller with a narrower sole width for more workability for better, more consistent players. The Pro model also typically has upgraded, heavier shafts for the stronger players and will typically produce a lower, more controlled ball flight.

Q
What is the difference from these XR's and XR 16 OS?
asked by Cartrell C. on 3/31/2016
A
The XR OS model will feature a larger, more forgiving head, as well as launch the ball higher in comparison to the XR iron set.

Q
I thought XR was oversize, XR Pro is that. I want oversize, no bigger
asked by Paul W. on 5/16/2016
A
The XR iron is an oversize game improvement iron. The XR Pro is a slightly smaller profile than the XR made for more consistent ball strikers.

Q
Can I get these XR irons with F 2 degrees and mid size grips?
asked by John B. on 7/14/2016
A
Unfortunately we do not have the ability to adjust the lie angle on a set of clubs at our facility. Any club adjustments such as lie angle will need to be done locally. We do have the ability to put on a different grip before shipment. If you would like to see the type of midsize grips that are available to be installed before shipment, please click the blue Re-grip button when the item is in your shopping cart. There is an additional $4.00 grip service fee added to each club that is being re-gripped as well.

Q
Hi, Can I have pictures of the clubs please ? I'm very interested about your set (3-PW)
asked by Thibault S. on 10/11/2016
A
Unfortunately we do not have the ability to take pictures as we ship from multiple locations and could have more than one of the same exact item. Also our sets are pre-boxed. Please follow the link below for details on our club ratings. https://www.globalgolf.com/about/club-rating/

Great Great Irons!
By Douglas S. on 7/21/2017

Handicap: 21+  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

I purchased these irons after searching for a long time and reading reviews all over the internet. I mean to tell you that they are the longest, smoothest, easiest to hit and best looking X series iron that I have ever hit. The X series has always touted to being the longest and most forgiving iron Callaway has ever made and these are not a disappointment at all!

Good but not great

Handicap: 16-20  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

These were giving me consistent distances but I just didn't care for the feel. I switched these for the Rsi1's and I'm liking the RSI's much better.

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

A previous review stated " these clubs put the ball all over the place " ,,, okay then, I've been golfing for over fifty years and have never once come across any golf clubs that actually " put the ball all over the place ".

I'm a senior golfer averaging 50 - 60 rounds per season, I have a steady 8 handicap. I tested the XR irons against five other brands, they came out on top across the board.

I will have them in my bag ( along with the XR 3 and 5 woods and a couple of XR hybrids ). They are an exceptional club, great feel and plenty of distance and a premium shaft.

I've always been of the opinion that it's the golfer that puts the ball all over the place ,,, not the club !

4-PW,AW
By William S. on 4/22/2015

I received the order quickly, upon opening the box, I noticed that an AW was ship instead of the SW that I ordered. I called Global Golf customer service and they immediately acknowledged the issue and sent me out a sand wedge from the manufacturer. I am very pleased with your service
