Description

With the new XR Pro Hybrids, Callaway made a hybrid that’s even longer and forgiving in a compact head design for better players. They feature the Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup that increases ball speeds across the face. More distance and consistency are the highlights of adding a re-engineered Internal Standing Wave.

Piercingly Long and Straight
By Gap Filled on 5/20/2016

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play monthly  Dexterity: Right Hand

Purchased to fill a gap as I do not like high lofted fairway woods and my 3 Iron was replaced by a Hybrid 4. Wow. Just Wow. Unbelievably easy to hit resulting in piercingly long shots that roll off the tee and will skip onto the green if landed short from the fairway. My natural shot is a draw, but I can nearly fade this club on command. Very difficult with this loft to get the ball to stop dead on the green is my only issue with this club. I believe this issue is more of the strong loft with my swing.

Flies 210-215 and can roll out to 220-225. I tee off with this a lot hitting fairways to a point that my 3 wood is irrelevant. I may chuck the 3 wood and add a 4th wedge. That's how revolutionary this club is to my bag.

"All of that"

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play more than once a week  Dexterity: Right Hand

Several years ago, I used the Callaway X2 Hot Pro hybrids (1, 2 and 4). The time came when I had to upgrade, but I just couldn’t see paying such high prices for the next line of Callaway hybrids that came after. So I jumped onto the Adams Pro Mini hybrids. The Adams were pretty good, but I still wanted my Callaways. Well…. GG recently had a great deal on the XR Pro hybrids, so I jumped on it. I got the XR Pro 2 and 4 hybrids at a great price. I’ve used them in 3 rounds so far and they are “all of that”. In my personal opinion and my game (8 handicap), there are no other clubs that can outperform these hybrids.
