Description

The Titleist Vokey SM5 wedges designed by master craftsman Bob Vokey define the standard for wedge performance. Bob's extensive testing, both in the workshop and the with the world's best players, have resulted in wedges that produce superior spin and control thanks to the innovative Spin Milled technology and deeper TX3 grooves. Every Spin Milled 5 wedge is milled to the tightest tolerance and features a balanced and compact design with a shorter blade length and a rounder toe profile. With three distinct finish options and a larger number of conforming tour proven loft and bounce combinations, there are more ways to hit it close than ever before.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear.

Q
What is the difference between F grind and like the S grind??. Or any other grind??
asked by Mark B. on 4/24/2016
A
Titleist offers different grind options to the sole depending on the needs of the player. The grind options vary depending on the loft of the wedge selected. An "S" grind is an offering that features a full sole with moderate heel relief and is good for someone with a shallow angle of attack. An "F" grind features a wider sole design for increased playability for a larger amount of golfers and has a higher bounce angle (less dig) in the sand wedge than the other grinds. You can read more about the different grind options and their player profiles to attract to on Titleist's website here: http://www.titleist.com/teamtitleist/b/tourblog/archive/2014/01/22/titleist-introduces-new-vokey-spin-milled-5-wedges and also here: http://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/wedges/sm5

After 6-8 years of swapping wedges every 6 months-1 year I decided to bag some Vokey's. I have had north of 12 wedge sets in that time from just about every major manufacturer. In March I custom ordered 2 Vokey Sm5 wedges. A 54* M-grind bent to 53* and a 60* M-grind. both clubs were bent 1* upright and were 1" longer than standard. I had them built with s400s as they are my favorite wedge shaft. I ordered them on and it took just shy of 2 weeks which is very fast for custom orders in my experience. The best part was there was $0 in up charges for all the work i had done. These are hands down the best wedges Ive ever owned and i am officially a Vokey convert. They have a great shape and in my opinion frame the ball perfectly. The M-grind is the most versatile Ive ever played. Ive been able to hit shots from every lie conceivable and they are like cheating out of the bunkers. Haven't had a bunker shot outside 10 ft yet in 20ish attempts. I cant believe I waited this long. There is a grind option for every swing and I suggest testing these and finding out which one fits you best and getting the in the bag asap. After 10+ purchases/trade ins i can safely say that global golf is the best online golf retailer in the biz!!!!!!!

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
