Description

The Titleist Vokey SM4 wedges from master craftsman Bob Vokey define the standard for wedge performance. Bob's extensive testing, both in the workshop and the with the world's best players, have resulted in wedges that produce more spin and control thanks to entirely reengineered grooves and tighter scoreline spacing. With a larger number of conforming Tour-proven loft and bounce combinations, there are more ways to hit it close than ever before.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear.

Q
Explain the different bounce degrees on a sand wedge please
asked by John E. on 1/30/2017
A
The higher the number for bounce, the more the club will tend to bounce off of the ground as opposed to dig in. If you tend to get the club stuck in the sand or ground, you would want a higher bounce number. Less bounce also tends to allow for more opening of the clubface to hit flop shots.

Great wedge. Nice feel at impact and good look at address. Black nickel coating is nicer then your typical chrome look. Getting two more to complete my wedge set.

Used lob wedge
By Joe B. on 8/24/2017

I purchased the Titleist Vokey Lob wedge used as I didn't want to spend $130 for a new club that would only be used occasionally (one of four wedges in my bag). Condition was advertised as average and it was. When I got the club on time I might add I took it to local club repair to have a new matching grip put on. Once the grip was off I noticed the ding in the shaft near the end of the grip. My guess is the club was thrown or hit against some object after a poor shot. So because of the location of the dent I think I can work with the club, but beware when buying used if the club is advertised as less than like new you might uncover damage particularly when re-gripping.
