The Callaway Diablo Octane fairway wood features a new, more aggressive VFT on the face that creates an even hotter hitting area than ever before. It has the highest MOI of any Callaway fairway wood to date with more weight in the extreme perimeter of the head, and the deepest center of gravity to date for ease of play. The higher MOI, hotter face, and deeper center of gravity add up to an additional 10-12 yards over the original Diablo fairway woods.

Stop looking for a fairway wood...

You can stop your search. This club is awesome. I had tried the Octane Driver and was not a fan, (huge fan of the Razr Hawk Forged) it just felt dead to me. This club has life! Before buying it, I tried it on several different occasions on two different launch monitors. My previous 3 wood was a r9 tp, and I liked it a lot. I hit is off the tee about 225-235. This club with range balls was going 245-250, without changing my swing.
I normally shy away from Callaway clubs that have Callaway shafts in them, but this one fit me perfectly. This head is all that they say it is. I will use this a lot this season as an alternative to my driver off the tee because it is such an easy club to hit! Easy to work, very forgiving, dead straight when you want it to, and did I mention LONG! WOW! This fits a huge gap that I had quite nicely.
You can get the NV shaft as a free upgrade from Callaway, but really, it is not necessary. It feels way better than the Motore non-tp shaft that was in the r9's and miles ahead of any other 3-wood I have tested this year, INCLUDING the new Razr Hawk 3-wood. All in all, this is my new favorite cub in my bag!
Thanks for reading!

You'll like it....

Sweet club, ball really jumps off the face. The regular flex hits it high, and it's easy to hit off the turf.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
