The Mizuno MP-58 irons each feature a dual muscle cavity back and the revolutionary Muscle Titanium technology which combines forged steel for amazing feel and playability. It allows for more perimeter weighting for more forgiveness without giving up feel or consistency. The durable double-nickel chrome plating provides a classic look.

Forged Forgiveness
By Kevin Jenkins on 2/10/2010

Blades for the "I don't hit it on the sweet spot everytime golfer." If you love the look of player's clubs but are not quite there, these are the clubs for you. I left cavity backs for these. Forgiveness, workability, and distance in an awesome looking package. Mizuno fitting system adds to enjoyment! Picked up distance with a little draw. You won't be disappointed!

Look of Forged

I switched from MP33's to these. Same profiles with more workability. Definitely the closest club to a blade that gives you a little more distance and height when needed.

Best Feeling Irons with some Forgiveness
By Stephen D on 1/6/2011
11 out of 11 people found this review helpful.

Been playing 18 years ..started shooting in the 120's and now I'm a 6 handicap... never played Forged Irons always cast irons with cavity back's: Titleist DCI black (1992) Callaway X-18 Pro-Series (2005). I had my set (5-PW) of MP-58's custom built after hitting these at a Demo Day at The Perfect Swing golf fitting/range in Lakewood, NJ in April 2010. Got the Project X 5.0 shafts, 1/2 in. short, 2 deg. flat. The heads are designed to be heavier for shorter shafts which makes perfect sense. Mizuno knows what thier doing. My custom built set of Callaways were also 1/2 in. short but the **** at the Callaway fitting center never told me this lightens up the swingweight from D-2 to like C-9. had to tape them up with lead tape to get each club to D-2 swgt. At the Demo Day I hit their MX-300's and then tried these MP-58's. Awesome feeling. Nothing like the feeling of hitting these forged irons on the sweetspot. If you hit them thin, you feel the shock in your hands but dont lose much distance.. Forgiveness is very good but no where near a cavity back club like my old set of Callaway X-18's. would need to be at least a single digit handicap to play these irons.

Best Iron Yet!
By Terry on 8/11/2011
9 out of 10 people found this review helpful.

Been playing for 30 years (60). Played the Callaway X-Tours - Good club. Went to Titleist AP2 - Very Solid feel. Got into MP-58 - Best feeling irons yet. Short irons are deadly and distance is excellent with a feel that you dream about. Went from an 8 handicap to a 4 just by changing to the Mizuno's.

Great irons
By Collin M on 11/2/2016

Handicap: 6-10  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

These irons feel great to me. I have a set of MP 60 as well. While the MP 60 give you an amazing amount of feedback on shots, they are a bit harder to hit. I got the 58's for a bit more forgiveness and it has provided what I wanted. The distance and control are great and the top line looks exactly like the MP 60 to me, but I can hit the 58 better.

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
