With wide, multi-functional, beveled soles, the TaylorMade Burner Plus irons feature a low and deep center of gravity and provide incredible versatility. They also feature Inverted Cone Technology (ICT), which provides a higher Moment of Inertia resulting in higher ball speeds across a larger portion of the face for more distance on off-center hits. Power, forgiveness and playability are optimized throughout the set making the Burner Plus perfect for a wide variety of golfers.

What is uniflex
asked by Brian M. on 8/6/2016
Uniflex is generally between a stiff and regular flex. Some companies use this shaft so they do not have to produce a stiff and regular flex.

Burner Plus - the perfect weapon
By Peter Shiels on 2/24/2010

I purchased a set of Burner Plus irons from Global Golf recently after months of agonising over brands and styles. The difference between these clubs and my old set is staggering. The distance has increased 10-15 metres for each club and the ease with which you can swing the club to achieve this distance is amazing.

They are quite forgiving (although you can still hit an average shot here and there if you try real hard!!)

The look good and deliver what the manufacturer claims they can.

I play off 17 and am sure once I get used to these clubs I will drop 4 or 5 shots at least. Even if I don't I will have fun trying. I can still shape the ball either way and feel a lot more confident at address.

Combine this with a great price from Global Golf and prompt delivery to Australia and you have a happy golfer and a satisfied customer.

Great Irons!!!!!!
By Brian Steele on 8/28/2010

I am a 7 handicap. These irons are LONG!!! Old set 7 iron: 135 Burner 7: 170-175. Great Mid-High ball flight. They have high spin, I spin all my irons back though 6 and then the 5 and 4 irons just get check spin. Very forgiving, and great workability for a super-game improvement set, very surprised about that. They also look great in my Taylormade bag sitting next to my Tour Burner driver, which is also a beast. Im always hitting 2 clubs less that all my teammates now, with these irons now i could make varsity and maybe even state.

Best Game Improvement OUT THERE!
By Nathan S on 3/3/2011
17 out of 18 people found this review helpful.

I am a 12 handicapper and have been in search of the best game improvement irons. I have played over 3 dozen irons from all the pro lines. The Taylor Made Burner Plus is in my opinion the best. They feel great, look awesome, and are very forgiving. I bought these clubs 2 months ago from Global Golf and I'm now a more 8 handicapper. (BurnerPlus most fun i have ever had on the course.)

I purchased a set of these irons 2 months ago, i have tried a hundred sets, blades, split cavity, full cavity, ALL KINDS OF IRON SETS, but the burner plus irons are the longest clubs, the most forgiving, and very good looking..........The only thing I would change is the shotshaping abilities, these are great clubs for a 12 handicapper to beginner, they are forgiving, long, and straight all in one club, it's a shame the pros haven't figured that out yet..........

Burner is best
By Waylon hogenmiller on 8/31/2010

This club has an awesome sweet spot and is weighted very well. It easily matches up with all the high dollar clubs. Control is excellant and very forgiving. The burner will help you shave three or four strokes off your game while having fun doing it. I would reccomend this club to anyone who is looking for the best bang for the buck!

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.
