The Nickent 4DX Ironwood is an iron replacement club that features a deeper face, thin titanium crown, and XW inserts, which combine to create a high MOI for incredible forgiveness and optimal trajectory. The XW inserts are made of Tungsten Polymer to reduce vibration and to be used for swing weight adjustment.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: Moderate face and sole wear; sky-marks, paint chips, paint blemishes, and scratches on the crown; dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; shaft wear.

  • Face height is 2mm taller than the 3DX models, giving it less spin and a more penetrating ball flight.
  • New crown configuration weighs almost 4 times less than the crown of the 3DX DC hybrids, allowing for higher MOI.
  • If, from 175 yards, you would rather hit an iron rather than a fairway wood, you most likely will enjoy the more compact head of the 4DX IW.

Best hybrid for 2011...
By Jason K on 3/6/2011

I play the 1-4 4dx's with the proforce v2's, and these are safely the best hybrid in 2011. BTW: They came out in 2007. They are superior in every way to Taylormade's hybrids, and I like TM's hybrids (even better, though similar feel, to the 2011 rescue). The shaft is excellent. I can really go after it of the tee, or my favorite, use it to get me out of whatever trouble my driver got me into. It looks great and is not like all of those other fairway looking hybrids out there. These are not going to disappoint.
Thanks for reading!

PS: I MISS YOU NICKENT! Though you are gone, you will not be forgotten. :, (

These are your U-try selections. Only U-try eligible clubs appear here. 2 club limit.

Our U-try golf club demo program lets you try out a brand new golf club from the game's top brands for 14 days and only $25 a club. That's right—you get a brand new, still-in-the-plastic club to try for two weeks for just $25.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not.

Want to test out two different brands, or two different configurations? No problem. U-try lets you try out up to 2 clubs for $25 per club.

This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls, a pro looking over your shoulder, and an awkward conversation at the end about whether you want it or not.

U-try gives you the freedom to test drive the club on your course, at your pace, with the golf ball you play. Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the club will do for your game before you invest in it.

If you don't love it, simply put it back in the box it came in, use the included prepaid return shipping label, and send it back to us. That's it.

If you do love it, that's awesome! You keep the club, we'll subtract the $25 trial fee off the final cost of the club, and we'll charge you the difference.
