Description

The Cleveland CG10 wedge features a head made from a patented soft CMM (Carbon Metal Matrix) material for consistency and enhanced feel. The satin-chrome finish for reduced glare and distinctive look. It is excellent for short approach shots and getting it close from around the greens.

Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear.

Features

  • The CG10 wedge is made from a proprietary material called Carbon Metal Matrix, or CMM.
  • More mass has been placed directly behind the impact area and lower in the head thus giving the CG10 wedge a solid, "muscle-back" appearance.

cleveland's rise in the wedge market
By Dan on 3/3/2011

The CG10 was the first wedge i've every owned as a golfer. i bought the 56 and 60 degree satin wedges.

the CG10 is a SOLID wedge. while there's nothing incredibly fancy about this wedge. the weight, build, and simply great overall feel to these clubs make these excellent for all players.

i can only see a few con's to the CG10.

1. it doesn't have the grinded sole found in the latter releases in the CG series.
2. it doesn't have the laser milled grooves found in the latter CG wedges
3. no longer conforms to the new PGA groove rule.

Overall: if you're just a casual golfer looking for great performing wedges from reputable maker, for a cheap price, the CG10 is an absolute steal.

This is my favorite club in my bag and i was able to get it for less than $20. Very versatile and the grooves and grip are great.

Solid SW
By Daniel G on 8/3/2017

Handicap: 11-15  Plays Golf: I play weekly  Dexterity: Right Hand

I got a 54 degree SW. This wedge is much heavier than what I've ever had, and it was a little bit difficult to adjust to at first, but once I got used to it, I have had no problem hitting bunker shots. Not only is it a great club for getting out of the sand, it is good for short shots and chipping. I received it used in fair condition, and it was sort of beat up, but that's the only issue. The club is a 5, the condition made me put it as a 4.

They Work

Simply put, they work. They will do everything you ask and more. The bounce is a little on the higher side for higher lofted clubs, but still very workable. There exists a few downsides of being older model wedges, but for the casual player these are a great lower cost option to get a top performing club.

value condition but almost ready for the bin
By Ashley B. on 12/10/2017

ordered a value condition, was by far the worst value condition of 4 clubs with same grading. huge dark patch where club has been used with groves almost completely worn down. Personally i would've thrown this one in the bin and not sold it. Yes it still swing, but next to nothing left on the groves and grip was almost bald.
