I picked one of these up at the local GolfSmith since I needed to get measured for a putter.
First impression is that it looks like it will transform into an Autobot. Never have I seen such a unique design on a putter before. The weights on the wings really balance out the putter and I am able to have an even swing all the way through.
It does hit fast with little force and it took me a few holes to figure out that a light tap goes a long way compared to other putters in which you need to give a little more "oompf". Plays the breaks on the green nicely and really impressed me.
I sunk my first ever 10+ foot putt this past weekend and look forward to drastically improving my short game.
The Nike Method series has more than 25 worldwide wins including—three major championships—on its resume, but the new Method Core Drone Putter takes performance to the next level with its innovative technology and design. After LPGA golfer Suzann Pettersen won the Ladies Irish Open on the the Ladies European Tour, she announced the Method Core Drone as "her new best friend from Nike". It's easy to see why.
The Nike Method Core Drone has a complex geometric mallet design with an Opti-max weighting system in the center and wing tips. The weighting ensures stability for twist-free, accurate strokes. Like all Nike Method putters, the Method Core Drone has the exclusive Polymetal Groove Technology, which has multiple features: its polymer and aluminum grooves soften vibrations for a better feel, while the unique red insert reduces backspin to give you more control. The Polymetal Groove Technology also creates a higher Moment of Intertia (MOI) for improved balance and a truer roll.
The Nike Method Core Drone Putter has both the advanced technology of the Nike Method Core series with the latest in Nike Golf engineering and a stand-out aesthetic. With all of these remarkable features, the Nike Method Core Drone will soon become your new best friend too.
