Maximum Technology: TaylorMade RocketBladez Max Irons

Before unveiling the new RocketBladez irons, TaylorMade put out early promotions that promised that one "little thing" would change everything. The "little thing" turned out to be a big breakthrough in iron design: the Speed Pocket. The RocketBladez Max takes the technology of the RocketBladez and adds some advanced features of it own to introduce the next level of performance in TaylorMade irons.
Technology
First things first: the Speed Pocket. This is a 2 millimeter-wide slot in the soles of the 4-iron through AW. The slot is filled with a uniquely formulated polyurethane from 3M™ to dampen unwanted vibration while enhancing the flexibility of the face. The result is consistently accelerated ball speed, and with it, greater distance.
TaylorMade has also refined its standard Inverted Cone Technology by giving it an improved shape. It works with the Speed Pocket to maximize speed and distance not only on center hits, but off-center ones as well. This is especially helpful to recreational players who tend to hit low on the face (which turns out to be the majority of them).
The 4- through 7-irons in the RocketBladez Max set have a hollow-head construction; this is a design feature inspired by TaylorMade's metalwoods. These irons also have a precise perimeter-weighting system with visible tungsten weights in the toe. The weights strategically position the Center of Gravity in the center of the face to make finding the sweet spot easier. This helps to optimize energy transfer from the face to the ball, amplifying launch and promoting greater distance.
Style and Design
The RocketBladez Max irons modify the aesthetic of the original RocketBladez with a black finish and more prominent yellow-and-grey detailing on the head. Another design difference between the two is in the topline and sole sizes, which are broader in the Max irons than in the standard version. RocketBladez Max irons also include Matrix Program SS shafts.
To sum it up, as TaylorMade's CEO Mark King says, "If your iron does not have a Speed Pocket, your iron is outdated." The RocketBladez Max's additional features elevate the standard RocketBladez irons even further: these pumped-up irons are sure to help maximize your game.
