Description
The Classic 290 is Cleveland Golf's features the most advanced combination of style and performance in a titanium driver. It combines a pear-shaped profile with a large, deep club face with a unique sole design and color scheme inspired by persimmon drivers. The face promotes a hot, penetrating ball flight, while MaxCOR2 technology provides maximum distance on off-center hits. The Classic 290 is engineered with Ultralite technology, helping players generate increased head speed and distance with the same swing effort. Its RightWeight Fitting System gives it an overall weight of 290 grams. This makes it ideal for powerful players that demand Tour-caliber workability and precision.

I received the Cleveland Classic 290, 9 degree driver, (Stiff Shaft) and took it to the range. At first I wasn't too happy, kept fading the ball. Played my first round, and couldn't keep it on the fairway. The next round, I finally started figuring it out, and started bombing low penetrating drives.
I would suggest that you "Tee" it just a bit lower than seems normal, and tilt the head just a bit inward. It's big face will do the rest. I had no problem getting it airborne, and was even able to start drawing and fading it.
I almost gave up, but the more I hit it, the more it gave me. The more you rip it, the better it feels. It seems like the harder you hit it, the more forgiving it gets.
Best Driver I've ever hit.
