Looking for new irons! Hit the graphite NIKE MachSpeed. The club head wraps around the ball resulting in a crisp, pure ball strike that explodes off the face. This is a 2010 Golf Digest silver metal winner, and should be a gold. No gimmicks like adjusting the loft and calling a 5 iron a 6. Working a high fade or subtle draw was surprisingly easy with the ProForce Mimaya shafts.

Nike out did themselves here |

I have never been a fan of Nike irons, but these are fantastic. Traded in my old Callaways after demoing these. These clubs are very easy to hit and produce a nice high ball flight that lands softly. Surprisingly easy to hit out of the rough. Effortlessly gained 5+ yards per club over my old set. Unlike other game improvement irons that have bulky heads, extra wide soles and other distractions, these are clean looking at the address position. They actually look like standard clubheads. Excellent choice for the mid to high handicapper. There were a couple of drawbacks, but these can easily be fixed with a trip to your local pro shop. First, the Nike stock grips are terrible. They're way too slick. If you play in humid climates or if your hands sweat alot you'll have a hard time keeping your grip on the club. And secondly, the lie angle is very upright. I suggest you get fit for these irons so the lie angle can be flattened out. Having said that, I highly recommend putting these in your bag.

Played Callaway for the last 6 years. Never considered changing to Nike. I bought a set of these clubs with graphite shafts on Monday. WOW! Solid, crisp hits, and ball explodes off the club face and more height on shots than I got with the Callaways I had. I don't see why Nike does not push these irons more.
