My favorite club in my bag |

Taylormade was the company that first introduced rescue clubs. I've never used any hybrids before but they seemed to have right ideas about their clubs so I decided to give it a shot after hearing some good things about this club. It feels slightly firmer than hitting 3 wood but the ball goes up higher and it peels off the ball out of rough very well. In other words, it does everything that a hybrid club is designed and advertised to do.
This is not the smallest hybrid on the market but the head is designed to cut through the grass very easily. If you are looking for a new or first hybrid club, this is the right one.

A GREAT HYBRID |

I am a senior golfer and have tried every hybrid available and could not hit any of them, until I found the 09 Rescue. If you have given up on hybrids, give this one a try. It will put a big smile on your face!

Got this club "used" but in mint condition. It was pristine and a fabulous deal. Just got back from hitting it and I recommend this club! It feels and sounds like none other when you connect.

Nice Clubs, but beware the flex rating |

This club performs as advertised, being much easier to hit than 2, 3, and 4 irons, and great for escaping the rough. Two caveats though: 1) as Hazmir noted above, it's easy to hook or slice if you don't setup correctly 2) beware the flex rating - I bought 'R' flex in the 2,3,and 4 hybrids, but they seemed really soft to me after playing them on the course a few times. A clubfitter friend confirmed that they were all either senior or ladies flex!

TaylorMade 2009 Rescue 3 Hybrid |

Only after doing my research by reading reviews and hitting several Hybrids I decided on the TaylorMade 2009 Rescue 3 Hybrid. The Rescue 3 Hybrid gives me more confidents at address knowing I am going to hit the ball more accurately and constantly towards my target than with long irons. Also the 3 Hybrid gives me another tool for getting out of fairway bunkers and punching out of the rough. I think what you get with TaylorMade R9Woods and the 2009 Rescue Hybrids, is a nice mix of traditional looks, technology, and most importantly performance. I have a high single digit handicap and would classify myself as a traditionalist, but at the same time I want to take advantage of the new technology in equipment. Just so you know I am not drinking the TaylorMade Kool-Ade, I am looking at buying Mizuno Irions and have a Wilson 8881 putter.
