Been a Pro-V guy for years, thought I'd give the Hex Black a shot, and WOW! Incredible combination of distance, feel, spin, and most of all, DURABILITY! Highly recommended!
The Hex is supposed to be straight and long like the i(z) and soft like the i(s). Well I played Pro V1x and the i(z) before the discontinued it and I was happy with the driver distance and accuracy with both. I barely noticed a difference between the two, (maybe a little more accurate with the callaway and a little softer with the titelist) They do reduce some spin and keep you in play more often than their counterparts. I havent noticed a difference between the i(z) accuracy and the Hex Black so good news there. It also felt a little softer than the i(z) so [not having played the i(s)] I can assume thats a confirmative there too. The one thing I really love about the Hex is that they werent joking when they say its more durable. I hit the cart path twice on full shots with this ball and there was almost no damage. Now i dont know how lucky I got with that but the fact that I hit it twice and still only needed one ball for all 18 is a good sign. Getting through a round is a good sign that it stays straight too. The i(z) was a great ball and they only upgraded with the Hex. If you are a good golfer who doesnt lose many balls, go for these. Its the best of both worlds for a tour ball, and callaway isnt lying about that
