New Wilson Staff FG Tour 1 Dozen Golf Balls

These golf balls are tour balls that out perform Pro-V1's. I read about the ball testing they did in Golf Digest and was looking for a good ball. I bought a dozen of these balls and I have to say I am more impressed with this ball over the PRO-V1 ball. Cant find any better. Titleist does all the advertising but Wilson FG Tour needs to be advertised becuse its far superior. ENJOY these golf balls. Better spin and holds the greens better.

I've been playing these since they became available here a couple months ago. I've read varying accounts of peoples experiences and impressions. My swing speed with the driver is between 104-111 and my favorite ball has been the Pro-V for some time (typical). I've noticed many trying the FG play the Taylor TP Red, Black or Penta. This ball (the FG) has become my regular ball for multiple reasons. Soft feel without loss of distance. Feels great around greens and putts as well as any ball I've used. All this for between $26 and $35 most places. In terms of feel, it reminds me of the best balata balls of the past but with all the modern advantages. It has penetrating ball flight, doesn't get blown offline, and just works. The only con is that it's not impervious to sidespin. Bad swings WILL produce excessive slice or hook . Players that play 2 piece distance balls may have a little trouble. I only had it happen a couple times (I'm on my third dozen), so I suppose I could call it "feedback" from a lousy swing. Some have called it too soft for them, but I happen to prefer it's feel. That's a matter of personal preference which I suspect is swing speed related. I love the way it putts.

This is my new "goto" ball. Its long enough off the tee, but more importantly accurate. I get a great ball flight with it with minimal spin off the tee and great spin with my wedges. I can play bump and runs with it and I can attach the pin with knock down shots. You nake it, this ball can do it. the only ball I have found that is longer than this one is the E6, but I can't hit all of my shots with it, especially a knock down. I hit just as many fairways with the FG Tour as I do with the E6, but I hit more greens with the FG Tour. GReat Compromise for me!!
