    Description

The TaylorMade RocketBladez Tour Iron Set feature individually designed blade-like heads featuring compact shape, thin topline, thin sole, minimal offset and shallow cavity. The RBZ Speed Pocket works in conjunction with an improved Inverted Cone design to promote more ball speed, higher flight and significantly less speed loss on mis-hits low on the face. The result is the first tour iron with serious technology to promote a higher, stronger, distance-enhancing ball flight with consistency with sharp distance-control and soft, quick-stopping landings. RocketBladez Tour irons will help players consistently hit their approach shots closer to the hole.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: NOTE: Some irons are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Moderate face and sole wear; minor groove wear and/or chrome wear; rock dings on the leading edge and/or sole; light rusting; shaft wear. The ferrules may or may not be seated to the hosel on each iron in the set. The ferrule is purely cosmetic, and will not affect the playability of the club.

This product may be an ARP or DEMO club.

    Features

    • For better players seeking higher, longer more accurate flight in a highly forgiving and great-feeling Tour-shaped iron.
    • Nine individually designed blade-like heads (3-iron – AW) featuring compact shape, thin topline, thin sole, minimal offset and shallow cavity.
    • Maximum speed and flight enhancement technology in the 3- through 7-iron: The RBZ Speed Pocket promotes consistently high ball speed and distance on off-center hits, especially low on the face.
    • Consistent distance with every iron made possible by careful management of the RBZ Speed Pocket, improved Inverted Cone, CG location and MOI.
    • 11 grams of weight is strategically redistributed to lower and center the CG location, promoting a higher launch angle, higher peak trajectory and a steep, soft-landing, quick-stopping descent angle for greater control.
    • Fantastic feel promoted by a specially formulated polyurethane developed by 3M that fills the RBZ Speed Pocket and which quiets vibration without significantly slowing/inhibiting the flex of the pocket, while also keeping debris out.
    • Improved Inverted Cone design reduces directional dispersion to promote improved accuracy.
    • Control-oriented short-iron design with compact heads, thinner toplines and slightly thicker faces to promote feel and control.
    • New external and internal hosel notches makes it easy to bend the head to adjust the lie angle.
    • Milled face-texture and grooves promote consistently high spin.
    • Beautiful mirror-chrome finish and premium cosmetics

    Technology / Specs

    TaylorMade RocketBladez Tour Irons

RocketBladez, the latest development in irons from TaylorMade, has been called a "once in a lifetime innovation" by company president and CEO Mark King. TaylorMade has usually turned its focus more toward woods than irons, but this time, King wanted to introduce an iron set that had the same momentum and consumer response as the R11 drivers and RocketBallz fairway woods.

The RocketBladez have not only met this goal, but they are poised to exceed it with an exciting blend of new features and refined versions of existing TaylorMade technology.

    Technology

The breakout feature of the RocketBladez is Speed Pocket Technology.

The Speed Pocket is a 2 millimeter-wide slot in the sole of the club filled in with 3M™ polyurethane. It flexes on impact to produce more of a trampoline effect. This results in higher launch angles and greater distance. It also compensates for mis-hits by promoting more ball speed and distance from more areas on the sole.

While the Speed Pocket previously appeared in the RocketBallz fairway woods and hybrids, this is the first time it has been available in TaylorMade irons. However, the Speed Pocket is only featured in the 3- through 7-irons. The sand wedge and lob wedge instead have the brand's exclusive ATV (All-Terrain Versatility) sole for maximum playability, as well as heavier steel shafts for enhanced control and rhythm.

Both long and short irons promote accuracy with the redesigned Inverted Cone Technology. Although TaylorMade has used ICT in its clubs for years, its new shape creates more consistent distance. The Speed Pocket enhances this consistency and adds control over launch angles for straighter shots.

The RocketBladez are also designed with 17.5 grams of weight strategically distributed for a lower and more central Center of Gravity, amplifying launch angles and peak trajectory while producing quick-stopping descent angles with soft landings. In addition to these great features, RocketBladez irons have both an external notch and internal notch on the hosel. These optimize bending to help you achieve the correct lie angle.

    RocketBladez Tour

The RocketBladez irons come in both standard and Tour models. The main features are the same, but the Tour version has a slightly smaller head as well as a thinner topline. Because of its smaller head, 11 grams of discretionary weight have been moved to better position the CG, as opposed to 17.5 grams in the standard model. The Tour also has a milled face texture with advanced grooves for consistently high spin. The standard RocketBladez include RocketFuel shafts, while the RocketBladez Tour irons come with KBS Tour shafts.

    Style and Design

The RocketBladez have a simpler visual design than the RocketBallz irons. Its sleeker lines and single yellow stripe replace the previous irons' "slime green" accents. The RocketBladez Tour irons have an even more understated look with more subtle yellow and grey stripes.

With the RocketBladez irons, TaylorMade has broadened the scope of its technological advancement by applying it to every club in the bag. The Speed Pocket especially is sure to be an influential aspect of the way irons will be conceived and designed in the future, while the retooled Inverted Cone Technology furthers the company's tradition of excellence.

And in case you were wondering, the RocketBladez got their name in spite of not being blades because, as TaylorMade says, "RocketCavityBacks didn't really sound that cool."
