I am a 9 handicap. I purchases these irons, and they hit so much farther and straighter than my last ones. They are good clubs to set up for fades and draws. LAnd very softly and easy to put spin, even with the longer irons. Buy these and you will shave strokes, thats a guarantee
I believe these irons are the "cast" version of the Adams A4 forged irons. My last set of irons were the Mizuno MX-25 forged irons and I love them, feel and distance are good and a little heavy at first but very good once you get used to them, which didn't take long. I found the Adams A4Rs at a Sports Authority 40% off sale and just couldn't turn them down at that price. I found them lighter then the Mizunos but a little longer and just slightly less feel. But a very smooth feel and favorable results even on most mishits. I played and loved the Adams A3OS irons for a number of years but didn't like the Adams A4OS irons at all, I found them lacking in feel, distance and accuracy, even with the hybrids. I think I like the Mizunos a little more for feel but with the slightly better distances of the A4Rs and easier playing wedges (PW and GW), I may playing with Adams irons again very soon!!!
