Par 5's nightmare!
By Mike Graham on 2/23/2010

This club is so great I bought the 3 wood & 5 wood. I have never before had so many Eagle chances from the par 5's. Club is very easy to hit and feels great off of the club face. Looked everywhere when I was going to purchase the 5 wood, & was priced at $299. I came across Global Golf and saved $100, plus I got free shipping. Arrived at my door step 3 days later. Can't beat that! Lowest price on top quality equipment with great service!

Easy to hit

I bought the 15 degree and 19 degree Squareway woods along with the FT-IQ driver. They look nice and feel great at address and have a solid clubhead weight. Simple and feels great to hit off the turf and get into the air. After switching from a conventional wood my occasional hooks off the turf were higher, further, and much less drastic. Sounds awesome too if you consider that a deciding factor.

They will not eliminate your hooks or slices, simply tone them down. Your max driving distance will be less compared to the newer woods and drivers. All that MOI hype that claims farther distances compared to conventional woods just isn't true.

If you've having trouble with consistency, getting the ball up in the air off the turf, and don't want to spend a ton of money these woods do the job. I ordered these and my FT-IQ from Global Golf and they arrived quickly and in decent condition.

It was a nightmare all right...but not for the par 5's

Now I know it's not the arrow...it's the Indian (or native american, I guess) but I have very little good to say about the Squareway wood...which is disturbing to me since I love Callaway fairway woods. I have the FT-I driver and absolutely love it...so I figured the fairway woods would be just as good.
I got the Squareway 5 wood off of ebay for a paltry $30...so I was psyched. Trouble is that it takes some real doing to get a ball off of the ground and...when I did manage to accomplish this...it was a screaming pull to the left or a banana fade to the right. I know you have to put a good swing on a club...but I am not unfamiliar with hitting a wood off of the deck or a tee. Callaway makes killer good equipment...but I think they got a stinker with this one.
